Why do we even need a custodian?
Well, we want to make sure Keene Farm stays the way we know it, and that needs some supervision.
What’s in it for me?
We know well that being custodian at Keene Farm involves a bit of work, not much: Socializing with other parties staying over, making sure payment is received from everyone, taking care so that the hut does not burst into flames and that it is well locked when we all leave again the beautiful Adirondacks…
We want thank you for your volunteering.
When agreeing upon reservation request to be custodian, YOUR STAY WILL BE FREE!
Please note that the following conditions apply to this offer, you only qualify for a free stay:
Please note that only the custodian gets the night free, not his friends, partner, kids, dog, cat nor any other important member joining the custodian-party.
We need only one custodian per night, it's not that much work after all
Thanks for being a custodian for the weekend. Your main duties will be to open the hut on Friday evening, welcome guests, be sure they have all the information they need, take care of the stove and propane equipment, collect the money, close the hut on Sunday afternoon, and of course enjoy your stay at the Keene farm !!
Don’t be scared ! Here is a check list to use as a reminder
Thanks for volunteering as a custodian,
your help is greatly appreciated and allows the good maintenance of the place!
